Shillong ( Meghalaya) , Aug 2 : The state cabinet which met today approved the Service Rules of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) which has been functioning for decades without Service Rules for its employees.
The cabinet also approved the amendment to the Meghalaya Medical Council Act of 1987.

Earlier with the existence of the Medical Council of India (MCI), the word ‘MCI’ was included in the MMCA and with it being changed to the National Medical Commission, the word had to be therefore amended in the Meghalaya Medical Council Act.
