Shillong(Meghalaya), Aug 28 : 73 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Friday morning taking the total number of cases in the state to 2203.
Aomng the new cases detected this morning 35 are from East Khasi Hills comprising of 33 general public and 2 from Armed Forces .
East Garo Hills reported 32 new cases and all of them are general public.

East Jaintia Hills reported 2 cases , North Garo Hills , 3 and West Khasi Hills 1 .
7 patients were discharged today after recovery .
The total number of cases in the state now stand at 2203 . The active cases stand at 1287 with 9 deaths .
