Shillong ( Meghalaya), July 24 : 5 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in the state during the last 24 hours raising the death toll to 1014 .
All the five deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills .

According to the figures released by the health department , 693 new cases were detected in the state on Saturday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 293 cases followed by West Jaintia Hills with 89 cases , Ri Bhoi with 80 cases , West Garo Hills with 78 and West Khasi Hills with 69 cases .
Today, 519 patients were discharged and the active cases now is 693.
