257 fresh Covid cases in the state , 3 more deaths

Shillong ( Meghalaya), Aug 28 : 257 new Covid cases were recorded and 3 more deaths were registered in the state in the last 24 hours .

2 deaths were recorded in West Jaintia Hills and 1 case in East Khasi Hills taking the death toll to 1, 299.

According to Health department data, 257 new cases were detected in the state on Saturday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 101 cases followed by West Khasi Hills with 87 cases .

207 patients were also discharged on Saturday after full recovery .

The active cases now stand at 2,740.
