Shillong, Sep 9: Winless Mylliem punched above their weight to force a 3-3 thriller against high-flying Shillong Lajong in the Shillong Premier League at SSA Stadium today.
Lajong started with a bang. Iohborlang L Lyngkhoi bent a free kick over the wall and in off the upright in the 7th minute after Istarbor Marngar brought down Freddy Jyrwa.
Mylliem, who had lost four on the trot, hit back in the 25th minute. Remark Kharmalki’s corner was flicked in by Wanpynshngain Nongsteng for the first goal Lajong have conceded in SPL 2026 after 300 minutes.
Rihoklang Khongjoh in Mylliem goal kept Lajong at bay and Lalmuansanga’s 44th minute effort was flagged offside.
Mylliem turned the game on its head right after the restart when Shaibor Nongrum drilled a left footer past the keeper in the 52nd minute. Lajong levelled at 2-2 through Lalmuansanga’s header from a right-wing cross in the 65th minute.
