Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 14: Langsning concluded their Shillong Premier League 2025 campaign with a resounding 5-0 victory over Malki at the SSA Stadium. Samuel Phawa scored a brace, while Donlad Diengdoh and Nelson Rymbai added to the tally, and Pynkhlainbok Wahlang scored an own goal in the dying moments.
The win took Langsning to 20 points from nine matches, with six wins, two draws, and one defeat. Despite finishing second, Shillong Lajong still have a game left to play, while Mawlai have two matches remaining. Malki, on the other hand, remain in ninth place with six points and one match to play, making their relegation fate all but certain.
Langsning’s victory was never in doubt, with Samuel opening the scoring in the 35th minute and doubling the lead five minutes later. The team maintained their perfect first-half record, not conceding a single goal in the opening 45 minutes of any SPL match this season. Apborlang Kurbah played a key role in the second half, providing excellent crosses that led to Donlad’s header and Nelson’s goal.
