Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 20: In a momentous occasion, Shillong-based journalist Rajib Chowdhury and Assam-based writer Madhu Raghavendra jointly launched senior journalist Subroto Bhattacharjee’s debut book, “Surreal Symphony of Nature”, at the Shillong Literary Festival held at Ward’s Lake.
“Surreal Symphony of Nature” delves into the diverse aspects of Meghalaya and the North East. The book is now available at the National Book Stall in Khyndailad, Shillong and can be ordered online from the publisher through notionpress.com
Subroto Bhattacharjee, an 86-year-old veteran journalist, spent his formative years in Assam and Meghalaya.
With a storied career spanning 45 years in the Northeast region of India, Bhattacharjee’s passion for storytelling was fueled by his love for travel and meeting people. His experiences often left him dismayed by the lack of understanding about the Northeast in the rest of India.
After retiring as the Chief of Bureau at United News of India (UNI), Bhattacharjee continues to share his insights and expertise through his writing.
