Changlang (Arunachal Pradesh ), Feb 20 : Changlang Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(N), conducted free multi-speciality medical camp at Changlang town, District-Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh today , 20 th Feb 2023.
The program was conducted under DGAR Civic Action Projects for the financial year 2022-23.
The medical camp was inaugurated by ila Parishad Member of Changlang and a large number of dignitaries attended the medical camp. During the camp a total of 229 people along with children were checked for basic ailments.
The Medical camp was conducted by Chief Medical officer, 31 Assam Rifles alongwith specialist doctors which includes Child specialist, Orthopaedic, Ophthalmologist & Dental specialist.
All people including children were provided various medicines along with basic diagnosis as per illness and free medicines were also distributed to the people who attended the camp. People suffering from diseases like Upper Respiratory Infection, Urinary Tract Infection, Intestinal Diseases and various other diseases were also treated in the camp.
In a his vote of thanks, DC Changlang, Sunny K Singh, IAS expressed deepest gratitude towards Assam Rifles on behalf of the district administration for this gesture. Village chief and GBs also attended the camp and the local people appreciated the sincere effort undertaken by Assam Rifles in reaching out to the population living in remote villages which otherwise remain neglected and cut off from the main stream. This according to them was a true reflection as the “Friends of the Hill People”.
