BSF seizes fake Indian currency notes along Indo – Bangla Border

Shillong ( Meghalaya), Feb 8 : On Tuesday , troops of 172 Bn BSF detected some suspicious movement of miscreants coming from Bangladesh to India.

Upon challenging, the miscreants fled away to Bangladesh taking advantage of darkness, hilly terrain and thick vegetation.

On searching the area, BSF recovered a bag containing 105 Fake Indian currency notes in denomination of Rs 500.

An FIR has been lodged at PS Umkiang and Fake Indian Currency also handed over to Police.

The fake currency recovered was of very low grade, probably locally printed in Bangladesh.
