Shillong (Meghalaya), July 24: The family of Raja Raghuvanshi, the Indore businessman brutally murdered during his honeymoon in Meghalaya, is set to challenge the bail granted to three co-accused in the case. Raja’s brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi, has vowed to take the fight for justice to the Meghalaya High Court, determined to expose the alleged injustices in the lower court’s decision.
The bail granted to Lokendra Tomar, Balbir Ahirwar, and Shilom James has left the family seething with anger and frustration. Vipin Raghuvanshi claims that Shilom James was granted bail despite being accused of tampering with evidence, a move he believes undermines the integrity of the investigation.
The family is not just stopping at challenging the bail; they are also demanding a thorough investigation into the case, including a narco test for the accused to unravel the mystery behind Raja’s murder. The case has sent shockwaves across the region, with many questionings how a honeymoon turned into a nightmare.
Raja’s dismembered body was found in a deep gorge in the Sohra region of East Khasi Hills district on June 2. His wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, is currently in custody, accused of masterminding the murder. The family is pinning their hopes on the High Court to deliver justice for Raja, ensuring that those involved in his murder are brought to book.
