Kokrajhar ( Assam), ,Aug 31: A 36 – member cycle rally team of Sasastra Seema Bal( SSB) reached Karigaon national highway on Tuesday morning which is scheduled to reach New Delhi on Oct 2 to commemorate the 75- years of India’s Independence as well creating awareness on fit India across the country.
Earlier ,the Guwahati to New Delhi cycle rally of SSB was started on Aug 28 to mark the 75 years of India’s Independence .
Officials from 6th Battalion of SSB based at Ranighuli in Kokrajhar district have accorded warm welcome and felicitation to cycle rally participant SSB jawans at Karigaon and offered a breakfast for them which was seen a healthy welcome that highlighting integration towards the fit India awareness among the citizens of the country.
The cyclist team has been carried out by SSB authorities under the banner Ajadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav to mark 75th year’s glorious year of Independence.
The cycle rally team will reach in New Delhi on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and will dedicate in honour of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
The cycle rally team will cross over 2000 kilometers in their 36 day’s journey from Guwahati and will travel through West Bengal,Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and finally reach New Delhi.
The cycle rally team has been emphasizing celebrate the 75 years of Independence of India and creating fit India environment among citizens of the country.
Commanding officer of 6th Battalion of SSB based at Ranighuli in Kokrajhar,Vinode Kumar Talwar said that the SSB authorities have carried out the cycle rally to mark the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav across the country and today Ranighuli SSB 6th Battalion have offered warm welcome and felicitation to the cycle rally team.
He said that the cycle rally has been creating awareness on fit India environment and social integration across the country in their 36 day’s cycle journey.
He informed that the cycle rally team is holding night stay at Srirampur interstate border with West Bengal and the team will enter in West Bengal from tomorrow morning.
“The cycle rally team is expecting to carry awareness programmes in all areas where they are scheduled to hold night stay on their journey route “, Talwar added.
