New Delhi, March 5: The Centre for North East India Security Studies (CNEISS) warns that the alliance between ULFA (I), PCJSS (Santu), ARSA, and RSO may cause disturbances during Assam’s Assembly elections.
A meeting reportedly organized by Bangladesh’s DGFI and Pakistan’s ISI in Cox’s Bazaar in December 2025 facilitated arms supply to insurgents in Northeast India.
Arms and rocket fuels are being supplied through Rohingya groups and PCJSS (Santu) to create disturbances. Recent arrests by Tripura Police and BSF, and a Guwahati High Court judgment, highlight PCJSS’s terrorist activities.
CNEISS Director Swapan Debbarma urges vigilance, citing increased threats from PCJSS (Santu) due to leadership instability and potential exploitation by ULFA (I) and Rohingya groups.
