Guwahati( Assam), July 11 : In a bizarre incident a father who allegedly killed his own son in Chandamari area of the city was arrested this afternoon .
According to information available ,the deceased identified as Tinkal Sarma was allegedly murdered by his own father. As per the father Ambika Sarma’s confession to the police, he and Tinkal had a heated argument last night after which he murdered his son.
The body was recovered stuffed inside a gunny sack was found in the Goswami Service area near Chandmari in Guwahati.
On getting information , police from the Chandmari police station rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation in the murder .
Prima facie, the murder had taken place in the early hours of today.
Tikul Sarma is from Belsor village in Nalbari district and had come over to the city as his sister was undergoing treatment in a city hospital,
The body has been sent to Guwahati Medical College for post mortem.
