Kokrajhar(Assam), March 13: A massive fire broke out at daily market in Kokrajhar town near railway station on Saturday evening and properties worth lakhs were reportedly damaged in the fire.
The fire was first noticed by local people from the western part of the daily market and later it spread to the eastern part.
According to sources ,the fire broke out at 10.15pm and was later doused after three hours .
Several shops like shoe shops , grocery shops and fruits market were completely gutted in the fire .

The fire is suspected to have generated due to a short circuit
At-least seven fire tenders rushed to the spot and finally doused the fire .
