Guwahati (Assam), Aug 28 : 2560 new Covid cases were detected in the state of Friday taking the total number of cases in the state 101367 .
Among the new cases today , 562 were reported from Kamrup Metro, 167 from Jorhat , 165 from Cachar , 139 from Dibrugarh and 135 from Hailkhandi .
A totat of 8 Covid patients succumbed to their infections at various hospitals across the state today .
Confirming the development Health Ministe H B Sarma tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 2560 #COVID cases detected today out of 40102 tests done in last 24 hours
