Kokrajhar ( Assam) , AprilL 22: Protests by the students continued in Bodoland University (BU) demanding online examination instead of offline examination in the university here today.
The protests of student’s entered the second day today in front of the Bodoland University which was organised by Bodoland University Students Union(BUSU) to pressurize the university authorities to conduct all the examinations online in wake of the second wave of COVID-19 surge in the state.
Hundreds of students from the university joined hands in the protest holding placards and shouted slogans demanding online examinations.
The students union is demanding conduct of online examination as a preventive measure amidst the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the state.
” We the students have demand online examination instead of offline examination amidst ongoing COVID-19 situation in the university to ensure safety and well-being of the students “, the agitated students said.
The students union also slammed the university authorities for not taking steps to ensure online examination in the university even though the protest and strike is continuing in the university.
“We will continue our protest in support of the demand for online examination in the university”, the BUSU added.
Meanwhile, Bodoland University announced postponement of all UG/PG/BEd/MEd/odd semester examination till further notice due to ongoing COVID-19 situation in the state.
All the postponed examination would be now conducted when the COVID-19 situation becomes normal.
