Kokrajhar (Assam),Sep 2: A total 26 widows of deceased Covid patients from Kokrajhar district were given financial aid under the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 widow support scheme at a programme held at BTC Secretariat here today.
Assam minister for Urban development department ,Ashok Singhal distributed the cheques in the presence of Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma and BTR CEM Pramod Boro.
Each widow were handed over a cheque of Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
Meanwhile, Assam minister for Urban development , Ashok Singhal said that the developmental activities including schemes and projects were being implemented smoothly across the districts of Bodoland Territorial Council.
Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro said that the BTR administration and state government has ensured welfare and social development across the region since they took over .
He said cheques are being distributed among the widows of the deceased Covid patients from Kokrajhar district under the chief minister’s COVID-19 widow support scheme.
” Government of Assam and Bodoland Territorial Council are committed to work together for the betterment of our people”,Boro added.
