Kokrajhar (Assam), April 2 : President of Bodoland People’s Front(BPF) Hagrama Mohilary has alleged that Former UPPL president Pramod Boro has dual voter ship from Tamulpur and Rangia LAC respectively.
Speaking the reporters at a press conference here ,Mohilary who is also BTC chief made allegations that an individual can not enjoy double votership as per norms laid down by the election commission of India.
Mohilary said that Pramod Boro has given his address as Chouraguri polling station under Tamulpur LAC in Baksa district and one from Murabari Balika Vidyalaya LP school polling station under Rangia LAC of Kamrup rural district.
He said that Boro should have cancelled his voter card from any one of the constituencies before filling of his nomination.
Mohilary producd a document of his name being registered from two addresses in the election commission website.
Mohilary demanded that the state election commission to investigate into his dual voter-ship issue.
He said that BPF is filling a complaint letter to the election commission against Pramod Boro.
He alleged that Pramod Boro produced dual votership in his nomination to contest the BTC general council elections.
Boro is contesting from two constituencies in Goybari and Koklabari in Baksa district.
BPF president Hagrama Mohilary is also contesting from two constituencies Debargaon and Kachugaon constituency in Kokrajhar district.
Meanwhile,UPPL president Pramod Boro has reacted to the allegation levellled against him and said that he has applied for cancellation one of his voters card from Rangia LAC in January last in the concerned election office.
“I do respect wholeheartedly all norms of election commission,so I applied for cancellation of my voters card from Rangia LAC in January last”, Boro added.
