Kokrajhar (Assam),Feb 8: A total of 2160 teachers and employees of the provincial schools in four districts of BTR were handed over their appointment letters on Monday.
The local administration ceremonially distributed the appointment letters at a programme held at BTC Secretariat ground,here .
All the teachers and employees have been appointed in LP/ME/High School/Higher Secondary/Colleges across BTR who have been rendering their services in the field of education without any remuneration for the past many years.
The 2160 teachers and employees have been appointed in the education department against the 676 school/colleges in the districts which includes LP school/ME school(1559),High School/Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary School(443), College/non teaching staff(158).
BTR chief executive member Pramod Boro attended the ceremony as the chief guest and distributed the appointment letters to the newly appointed teacher and non teaching staff.
Boro congratulated all the teachers and employees who have been appointed in the education department with effect from today.
” I am very happy to distribute appointment letters to the teachers and employees of newly new educational Institutes of BTR. I also assure that all the left out schools would be provincialized soon as per clause 6.3 of BTR Accord”, Boro said.
He urged upon the teaching fraternity to dedicate their services for healthy educational environment in the region.
Ex MP Rajya Sabha MP Urkhao Gwra Brahma while extending his best wishes to all the newly appointed teachers by implementing the Government of Assam’s order. He assured that thousands of teachers have not yet received their appointments so far their appointments letters would also be handed over soon.
He said under the new initiatives all poor teachers of schools & colleges will get due justice.
Teachers who have received appointment letters, expressed their happiness after receiving appointment letters.
Meanwhile, the BTR youth conclave-2021 in Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR) was conducted on Monday at BTC Secretariat ground Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar district.
The first ever BTR youth conclave was organised to create awareness on career building and social integration among the student community .
Thousands of students from different school, colleges of Kokrajhar and Chirang districts participated and BTR chief executive member Pramod Boro graced the occasion as the chief guest .
