Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Jan 23: Bodofa Nwgwr Green Field Kokrajhar is all set to welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday at the celebrations of first anniversary of Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR) accord day which starts from Sunday with a four- day colourful programme .
All preparations and arrangements including security deployment have been given final touchs this evening for the 4 -day mega event .
The BTR accord anniversary will be organised at Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr in an area of over 700 bighas of land where the main structure and helipad have been made .
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Kokrajhar at 9 am on Sunday to address the celebrations of the BTR accord day celebration which is likely to be attended by over 3 lakh people from all parts of Bodoland .
On Saturday ,BTR chief executive member Pramod Boro and Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania visited the celebration site and took stock about the progress of the preparations .
BTC Chief Boro said that necessary preparation and arrangements have been completed this evening for the grand celebration and appealed to all sections of the communities to participate in the grand BTR accord day celebrations .
Additional DGP L R Bishnoi also visited at the Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr to take stock about the progress of preparations today.
He said that nearly 2000 security personnel have been deployed to ensure law and order during the celebrations.
