Kokrajhar (Assam),June , 13:.BJP alone is contesting in 26 seats in the council and will win majority of the seats”, said BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass.
Addressing the reporters at a press conference held here, Dass said that his party is fully prepared to contest the council elections with their own candidates and was hopeful that that the party will win majority of the seats to form the next council in BTAD.
“People in BTAD region want BJP to rule and accordingly the party is working towards the development of its citizens”,Dass said.
He has said that conduct of elections to BTAD is upto to the state government and election commission as the elections has been postponed due to Covid pandemic .
He said that BJP wants conduct of BTC elections in BTAD when Covid situation is controlled in the state.
On the questions of alliance with BPF: “No split of alliance with BPF in the state and alliance is going on. However, the party would be going alone in the ensuing BTAD elections”, Dass said.
Dass informed that BJP has launched its mass-reached out initiative on Saturday in Kokrajhar to connect people of the state ahead the 2021 Assam assembly election
He said that BJP is fully prepared to contest 2021 Assembly elections and party leaders are reaching to the common masses.
Dass claimed that his party strength is increasing day by day in the state and organizational activities are on. Moreover, alliance partner AGP has now become organizationally weak .
Reacting to the imposition of Governors Rule in BTAD he said that imposition of Governor’s Rule was a constitutional for good governance adding that the governor has initiated strict steps against the deforestation and has planned plantation of more than 40 lakh saplings in the region.
