Guwahati (Assam), April 15 : The state health department have detected a Covid-19 patient as a female resident of Dhubri district.
With this the total number of confirmed COVID -19 cases in the state rose to 32 with the state reporting one fresh case on Tuesday.
According to the state Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma the health department have identified the latest case of Covid-19 patient as a female resident of Dhubri district who is the wife of a man who had tested positive for the infection earlier. He said the woman is the wife of a Covid-19 positive person who is connected with Nizamuddin Markaz and Athgaon Kabristan Mosque, Guwahati congregation.
“A woman from Dhubri has tested #COVID positive. She is wife of a #COVID19 positive person who is connected both with #NizamuddinMarkaz, and Athgaon Kabristan congregation in Guwahati,” tweeted Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The state has 32 confirmed cases till date which includes nine cases from Golaghat district, four each from Nalbari, Morigaon, Goalpara, Dhubri districts, and one each from South Salmara, Kamrup (Metro), Kamrup, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Cachar and Hailakandi districts. Earlier ,One Covid-19 positive patient from Hailakandi district died on April 10.
