Guwahati (Assam) , Sept 12 : The state registered the highest single day Covid deaths on Saturday with 23 Covid deaths reported from various hospitals across the state taking the death toll to 453.
Meanwhile , a total of 2132 new Covid cases were detected in the state today taking the total number of cases so far to 1,40471 .
Among the new cases today , 562 were reported from Kamrup Metro , 132 from Lakhimpur , 134 from Dibrugarh and 156 from Jorhat .
A total of 2628 patients were discharged after full recovery from various hospitals and Covid care centers on Saturday.
Confirming the figures , Health Minister HB Sarma tweeted “📌Alert ~ 2132 #COVID cases detected today out of 31253 tests done in last 24 hours
