Guwahati(Assam), June 9 : A total of 102 new Covid cases were detected in the state till Tuesday evening taking the total number of cases to 2937.
In the latest lot 69 cases were declared at 6.35 pm by the state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma . Aomg the cases 13 are from Kamrup , 11 from Jorhat, 9 from Nagaon, 8 from Hojai , 5 from Karimganj , 5 from Dhemaji , 4 from Lakhimpur, 4 from Golaght , 3 from Hailakandi , 3 from Kamrup ( Rural) and 1 each from Cachar , Darrang , Sonitpur and South Salmara .

On a positive note, a total of 301 patients were released from various hospitals from the state today after they tested negative twice . The number of total discharged patients have gone up to 1085 .
The active patients as of now are 1844.
