Guwahati (Assam), May 29: The state crossed 1,000 mark with 89 new cases detected across the state of Friday night .

Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said with the fresh 89 cases, the tally has gone up to 1, 024.
The total number of active cases stand at 892 after 125 patients were released from various hospitals after they fully recovered .
The health minister tweeted at 9.40 pm , “📌Alert ~ 89 new cases of #COVID19+.30 Kamrup, 17 Tinsukia, 14 Guwahati, 14 Dhubri, 10 Cachar, 4 Dhemaji.”
