Guwahati(Assam), Sept 18 : 2509 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Friday taking the total figures in the state so far to 152858.
Among the new cases detected on Friday 541 were from Kamrup Metro, 207 from Lakhimpur , 197 from Golaghat and 162 from Jorhat .
A total of 12 Covid patients succumbed to their infections on Friday at various hospitals across the state taking the death toll to 540 .
Confirming the figures , Health Minister HB Sarma tweeted “📌Alert ~ 2509 #COVID cases detected today out of 36027 tests.
