Guwahati (Assam), June 21 : There has been a rapid decline in the number of Covid -19 cases in the state with 2869 cases reported in the last 24 hours .
The cases were detected after conducting 1,52,720 tests .
In a tweet , Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that 2869 new cases were detected in the state in the last 24 hours out which 198 cases were reported from Kamrup ( Metro) .

In the past 24 hours 37 patients succumbed to their infections .
The overall positivity percentage for the day stood at 1.88 % and the recovery rate was 92.37 % .
