Guwahati ( Assam), May 22 : The state today reported 5980 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours out of which 902 new cases were from Kamrup ( Metro) .
These cases were detected after conducting 107398 tests.

In a tweet , Chief Minister Dr . Himanta Biswa Sarma also informed that 79 more Covid -19 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours .

The overall positivity percentage stands at 5. 57% and the recovery rate is 84.12 %.
