Guwahati ( Assam), May 16 : The state on Sunday reported 46 more Covid -19 deaths and 3650 new cases .
Among the new cases , 1197 cases were reported from Kamrup Metro .
The overall positivity percentage was 8.51% and the recovery rate was 85.73%.
On Sunday Chief Minister , Dr . Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed the Covid19 status, preparedness & enforcement with DCs and SPs via video conference .
He directed DCs to regularly visit District Hospitals from today and ensure efficient odd hour management of critical Covid patients even late in the night.
He also directed to entrust one ADC in each district with responsibility of vaccine centers. and directed the SPs to enforce stringent restrictions to contain the pandemic while ensuring containment zone regulations.
