Assam : 2098 fresh Covid cases , 11 deaths , 505 cases only from Kamrup (M)

Guwahati ( Assam) , Sept 23 : 11 critically -ill Covid patients succumbed to their infections on Wednesday taking the official death toll to 597 .

A total of 2098 fresh Covid cases were detected in the state on Wednesday taking the state tally to 1, 63, 3491 .

Aomg the new cases , 505 were reported from Kamrup Metro, 172 from Jorhat , 160 from Dibrugarh and 152 from Lakhimpur .

A total of 1762 patients were discharged today after recovery .

Confirming the figures , Health Minister tweeted “📌Alert ~ 2098 #COVID cases detected today out of 29896 tests.
Positivity Rate- 7.02%
