Guwahati ( Assam) , April 23 : There has been an alarming spike of Covid cases in the state with 2384 cases detected today .
Among the new cases today 883 were reported from Guwahati and its suburbs .
The overall positivity percentage today was 3.29% while 12 patients succumbed to their infections .
So far the total vaccines administered till date is 19,54,595 which includes 1st dose 15,51,673 for the first dose and 4,02,922 for the second dose .
Today a total 57,945 people were vaccinated .
Heath Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted , ” My compliments to dedicated staff of National Health Mission ,Assam and Health Department for exemplary service in managing the Covid screening centre at Guwahati airport, which receives thousands of passengers everyday. Visited the airport to inspect facilities.”
