Shillong ( Meghalaya), Jan 21 : An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale hit the Northeast with epicenter 58 km southeast of Champhai district of Mizoram at 3:42 PM on Friday, January 21 ,2022.
The depth of the earthquake was 60 km, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

The latitude was 23.10 and the longitude was 93.75
The 5.6 magnitude earthquake, had its epicenter in Myanmar and tremors were felt across Northeast.
Tremors of the earthquake was felt in Shillong Guwahati, Aizawl Kohima and Agartala .
