Guwahati(Assam) , May 19 : The state registered 13 more COVID19 positive cases on today with the total number of cases mounting to 154 .
State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the new cases have been confirmed in the quarantine centre at Sarusajai Stadium in outskits of the city .
Sarma appealed to the people to stay home and follow social distancing and hygiene norms.
With the 13 fresh cases reported in the evening the total number of active COVID19 cases in the state has gone up to 107.
The minister tweeted at 7.45 pm , “Alert – 13 new #COVID + cases detected from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre. Now the total patient count goes to 154.In view of the rising number I earnestly request you to #StayAtHome and follow #SocialDistancing & hygiene norms.”
