Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 12: The 5th edition of Winter Tales 2024 kicked off today at the picturesque Ward’s Lake here. The festival was inaugurated by Paul Lyngdoh, Tourism Minister, in the presence of Cyril VD Diengdoh, Director of Tourism.
This year’s theme, ‘Balance’, focuses on merging modern and traditional practices while prioritizing sustainability. The 3-day festival will showcase creative solutions that exemplify the balance between progress and preservation, encouraging a collective commitment to a more sustainable future.
The festival will provide a platform for unique talent and entrepreneurs from across Meghalaya to share their stories through food, art, craft, and music. It will also emphasize the importance of sustainability and balance in our lives, promoting eco-friendly initiatives and a plastic-free environment.
Traditional performances, local cuisine, and handmade crafts will be on display, offering a rich cultural experience. The festival will run until Dec 14.
