Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 9: The Meghalaya Women’s State League 2025 semifinals witnessed thrilling matches that showcased the rising talent in women’s football in the state. Na Rympei Football Academy and Jakrem SC emerged victorious, booking their spots in the title match.
In a nail-biting encounter at the SSA Stadium, Jakrem SC came from behind to defeat Laitkor SC 2-1. Inrila-i-dor Khongthaw’s early goal for Laitkor was cancelled out by Sunalinda Iawren’s equalizer, and Iaphisha Marbaniang sealed the win with a late strike, earning Sunalinda the Player of the Match award.
Meanwhile, Na Rympei Football Academy dominated Pay For Right Football Academy 4-1 at the SAI NEHU campus. Pynhun Shulet scored a brace, while Tracy Rympei added two more goals to Na Rympei’s tally, winning her the Player of the Match award in her team’s match. Nisilia Majaw’s direct free kick for PFR was a consolation prize.
The final match between Na Rympei Football Academy and Jakrem SC is set for November 12 at 5 pm, promising an electrifying conclusion to the inaugural season of the MWSL.
