Shillong( Meghalaya), July 1 : Opposition AITC her today lodged a formal complaint with the State Cyber Police against a fake press note released in the name of party national General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee.
In a press note , Meghalaya AITC condemned the spread of fake news by unknown miscreants and stated that such false propaganda is soley aimed at maligning the image of the party and will not be tolerated.

The fake press note had stated that the AITC leader approved the second list of candidates for South Shillong (Vicky Dey) and Mawlai (Patricia Mukhim).
On Thursday , Meghalaya Editors and Publishers Association (MEPA) had condemned naming Mukhim as a candidate of AITC .
