Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 2: The Government of Meghalaya has created a new police outpost in Rongdangai, Southwest Khasi Hills District, to enhance public convenience and administrative efficiency. The Rongdangai Police Outpost will cover several villages, including Moheshkola, Ganganagar-A, Ganganagar-B, Gillagora, Upper-Gillagora, Koraibari, Upper-Koraibari, Dambatgre, Chitokgre, Sooling, Amarsang, Umthengkut, Kampilgre, Rongdangai, and Kaitakona.
The police outpost’s boundaries are defined as follows: to the north lies Nonghyllam Police Station of South West Khasi Hills District, to the east lies Nonghyllam Police Station and Borsora Outpost of South West Khasi Hills District, to the south lies Maheshkola Outpost of South Garo Hills District and the Indo-Bangla International Border fencing, and to the west lies Shallang Police Station of West Khasi Hills District.
This development aims to improve law enforcement and provide better services to the local community. The creation of new police outposts is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen security infrastructure in the region.
