Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 5: The Shillong Premier League 2025 is all set to begin on Wednesday with a mouth-watering match between Nangkiew Irat and Nongrim Hills at the SSA Stadium, First Ground, here.
The kick-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm. The two teams have a history of high-scoring encounters, with Nongrim Hills winning 5-2 in one match and Nangkiew Irat thumping them 4-0 in the second leg last season.
Nangkiew Irat, who finished fourth in the previous season, will be looking to break into the top three this year. Nongrim Hills, on the other hand, will be eager to improve their seventh-place finish from last season. The defending champions, Shillong Lajong, will be looking to retain their title, and other teams like Rangdajied United, Mawlai, Laitkor, and Langsning will also be gunning for a top spot.
