Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 14: Larisha Kurbah, a talented karate athlete from Shillong, has been selected for the Senior National Coaching Camp at the Sports Authority of India’s Lucknow centre. The camp will run from Nov 17 to Dec 31.
Larisha’s impressive performance has earned her this opportunity. She has won numerous medals, including a gold at the India Open International Karate Championship 2023, silver at the SEIKOKAI All India Karate Championship 2024, and bronze at the Senior National Championship 2025.

The 19-year-old will represent Meghalaya in the -61kg women’s individual kumite category. The All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association is proud of Larisha’s achievement and wishes her all the best for the camp and her future endeavors.
