Shillong(Meghalaya), Feb 10 :Ryntih FC scripted a stunning comeback, defeating Nongthymmai SC 4-1 in the OC Blue Shillong Premier League 2024 at the SSA Stadium, Polo, today. This victory marked the end of their 11-game losing streak.
In another thrilling match, Shillong Lajong FC thrashed Laitkor SC 6-0 in the morning kickoff, catapulting themselves to the top of the standings.
Ryntih FC’s Wanshanlang Dkhar (53’P, 82′) and Andy Mawthoh (57′, 68′) scored a pair of goals each, while Mowell Chyne (79′) managed to score a consolation goal for Nongthymmai SC.
Earlier, Shillong Lajong FC’s Yohaan Benjamin (8′), Deibormame Tongper (64′), Iohborlang L Lyngkhoi (83’P), Emanbha Marbaniang (86′), and Babysunday Marngar (90’+4P) fired their way to a monumental win against Laitkor SC, with an additional own goal in the 59th minute.
With this win, Shillong Lajong FC has taken the top spot in the standings, followed closely by Mawlai SC and Rangdajied United.
