Chandigarh, March 9 : Meghalaya’s U-23 women’s cricket team pulled off a stunning six-wicket win over Nagaland in the BCCI’s U-23 Women’s One Day Trophy 2025-26. Captain Monica L Phawa anchored the chase with an unbeaten 78, guiding Meghalaya to 146 in 46 overs.
Earlier, Meghalaya’s bowlers impressed, restricting Nagaland to 145. Cheanchi K Sangma (3/29) and Blaridahun Dkhar (3/41) led the charge. Nagaland’s Iluneule Zeliang top-scored with 46.
Meghalaya’s win ends a slow start to the tournament, with previous losses to Manipur and Sikkim.
