The team finished on top of Group A with a convincing 29-run win, securing their spot in the semifinals.
Debasmita Dutta, an opening batter, was the star of the show, striking 10 fours in her impressive 68-run knock from 65 balls. Her blistering performance nearly saw her carry her bat, as Meghalaya posted a competitive total of 122/4 in 20 overs. Neha Hajong’s 20 from 21 balls and a late cameo from Ajima Sangma’s 15 not out from 7 balls further bolstered the team’s score.
In response, Nagaland struggled to match Meghalaya’s momentum, managing only 93/9. The Meghalaya women’s cricket team’s impressive performance has set the stage for a thrilling semifinal showdown.
