Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 30 : A total of 79 new cases were detected on Friday in the state taking the total number to 9,382 .
Among the new cases East Khasi Hills reported 24 cases , West Garo Hills 27 cases , Ri Bhoi 23 cases , West Jaintia Hills 2 cases and 1 case each in East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills and West Jaintia Hills .
A total of 235 Covid patients were declared recovered today .

The active cases now stand at 1,170 after recovery of 8,125 patients and the death toll is 87 .
