Shillong ( Meghalaya), July 5 : Nine more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in the state on Monday taking the death toll in the state so far to 871 .
East Khasi Hills reported 4 deaths while West Jaintia Hills recorded 2 . One death each was reported from South West Garo Hills , South West Khasi Hills and West Garo Hills .

According to official sources , 377 new cases were detected on Monday with Ri Bhoi topping the list with 134 cases followed by East Khasi Hills with 128 cases .
A total of 448 patients were discharged today after full recovery .
The active cases as of now stand at 4, 354 .
