Meghalaya : 19 new Covid cases detected ; State tally now 13, 525

Shillong(Meghalaya) Jan 6 : 19 new Covid cases were detected in the state today taking the state tally to 13,525 .

14 patients were declared cured today of the virus , taking the total number of recoveries to 13,230,

Among the cases today , East Khasi Hills district reported 12 new cases , followed by West Jaintia Hills district 6 and Ri-Bhoi district 1 .

The state now has 154 active coronavirus cases, of which 116 are in East Khasi Hills district .

141 patients have so far died due to the infection so far in the state .
