Shillong ( Meghalaya) , June 4 : The state reported 18 more Covid -19 deaths and 584 fresh cases in the last 24 hours .
A statement from the government said that 18 more Covid -19 patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours taking the death toll due to the deadly virus to 643 .

Among the new deaths , 9 were reported from East Khasi Hills, 4 from West Jaintia Hills , 2 from West Garo Hills and 1 each from Ri Bhoi , South West Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills .
So far out of the 643 deaths , 508 has been reported from East Khasi Hills district only .
Meanwhile , 584 new cases were reported on Friday out which 240 are from East Khasi Hills .
A total of 808 Covid -19 patients were released today after full recovery .
