Shillong (Meghalaya), April 28 : A massive tremor jolted Meghalaya and other Northeastern States today morning at 7.51 am .
The earthquake measured 6.7 in richter scale.
The epicenter was latitude / longitude: 26.81°N / 92.42° E in Sonitpur district of Assam and the depth was : 10.0 km

There were aftershocks which was felt by the people across the region .
Initial reports say that cracks developed in a number of buildings and residential houses in the region .
So far no loss to life and property has been reported.
