Imphal(Manipur), May 7 :In the past twenty-four hours, 576 persons (307M, 269F) from the general population and 24 personnel from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID19 positive cases according to the Health Department.
Imphal East (166), Imphal West (208) continue to report the majority of the new cases. Thoubal (40), Bishnupur (33), Kakching (18), Ukhrul (22), Churachandpur (34), Chandel (7), Tamenglong (19), Senapati (17), Kangpokpi (3), Kamjong (2), Tengnoupal (1) and Noney (6).
In the last 24 hours, 2 persons aged 47 yrs (male, Kakching) and 65 yrs (female, Imphal East) expired at JNIMS (2) hospital. The death toll has now reached 449.
The caseload of the state has now reached 34,333 (General Population -30,685 and Central Security Personnel 3,648). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 30,378 (General Population – 26,911 and Central Security Personnel 3,467). The number of active cases is 2391 (General Population – 3330 and Central Security Personnel – 176). The recovery rate is 88.48 %.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 762 D type Oxygen Cylinders and 192 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur according to the report from the health department.
As per the latest information, 251099 individuals have been vaccinated in the state.
