Imphal(Manipur), April 18:The active cases of COVID-19 surged to 255 in Manipur, with 72 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. No deaths were reported.
The cumulative number of positive cases stands at 29,721, according to COVID-19 Common Control Room, Government of Manipur.
As per latest information, 1,06,284 individuals have been vaccinated in the state.
Meanwhile, Manipur police is strictly enforcing the night curfew. There have been reports of people being fined during the curfew.
The Manipur Government had issued an order to impose the daily night curfew from 8 pm to 4 am in view of the spiralling new cases in the country.
From Sunday, entry to the state has also been banned without a negative COVID-19 test report in the last 72 hours.
