Imphal(Manipur), May 2 :Manipur reported a total of 256 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths on Sunday. The number of active COVID-19 cases in Manipur surged to 1,823
Imphal West (112) and Imphal East (56) continue to report the majority of the daily new cases, according to the Health Department.
In the last 24 hours, five persons aged 80 years (male, Bishnupur), 35 years (male, Imphal East), 58 years (male, CAPF, Imphal West), 79 years (female, Imphal West) and 32 years (male, Imphal West) expired at Shija Hospital (1), RIMS (3) and JNIMS (1) Hospital respectively. The death toll now stands at 415.
The caseload of the state has now reached 32,161 (General Population 28,576 and Central Security Personnel 3,585).
Air passengers who travelled to the State on April 25 by Indigo Flight 6E-6181 in rows 16-21 and 6E-21 in rows 29-35 have been instructed to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) immediately.
As per the latest information, 2,07,765 individuals have been vaccinated in the state, out of which 70,093 individuals have received the second dose.
A total of 2,260 tests results were received on Sunday and 18 tests were conducted at the airport. There are now 1,199 COVID-19 patients in home isolation at present, as per the IDSP Manipur update.
